setting up an ev charging station costs $3000 or $1750 for one in your home. Which using your Tesla wall or similar and solar panels means you can charge your car very cheaply. That's one FEATURE that hydrogen can't provide.
HFCV's are also way behind on performance compared to EV's - let alone the dearth of moving parts in an electric motor which puts EV's way ahead in terms of maintenance costs.
Hydrogen just doesn't stack up which is why Daimler and other manufacturers moved away from this technology last year.
