What is more convenient? Standing at a petrol station waiting for the tank to fill or plugging in your car when you get home and it's ready for you in the morning? We already do that with our phones so nothing too hard to get used to. Also if price of crude drops it forces the high cost producers out so supply reduces and prices stabilise so there is a limit to how low petrol prices can go. The other EV driver is climate change and pollution control, ie governments forcing drivers to EV And I am no tree hugger, I like my guzzling v8
