So many new things using lithium and each is only just starting to squeeze into the market place. Once these things have a few iterations of improvements and confidence they will go exponential.
These include home power walls (real life verdicts are still in the making), EV's (ie. cars, trucks, bikes, motorbikes, etc), large scale batteries (like SA), shipping, drones and aircraft (ie flying car).
On top of the newer technologies we still have all the hand-held gadgets that have a Li ion battery of some type.
One thing we must do is not treat lithium as an endless supply but make sure we recycle it from the start, that way it will be "green", create more jobs and less pollution in the long term.
Expecting copper to go up steeply in the next few years as a lot of electric motors will start biting into the already tight supply.
If the next 5 years brings the progress of the previous 5 then there should be some exciting times ahead. If we can get transport back to being a lot cheaper, cleaner then our next step is to start cleaning up some of our planet destroyed by waste, rubbish and other crap that no one wants to touch because of the cost.
