Honestly speaking, is it the fault of the lithium or a fault in how it is stored/used within the battery and its technology? From my view, it is the technology and hopefully people see this as well.
When Samsung phones started going up in flames a few years ago did people jump to blaming the chemicals used? Nope, they blamed Samsung in how they made the batteries.
