You are quite right.
I was in China at the time.
The expats were fleeing Hong Kong and China at a rate of knots.
It was a mass exodus and a lot were getting stopped at the airport and refused boarding because they owed a tax bill.
I was back in Australia the next year and it was like wow, did the world pass Australia buy. It was like going from utter destruction to this country that was a pimple on the world's @SS and just booming...
2014 was still a very tough year for lithium. I'm not surprised they got caught just that they still remain closed. That's a $200M state of the art mine just sitting there, (apparently). It remains the biggest lithium mine failure in history and no-one has jumped on it. You would expect the Chinese to have a go but they obviously don't like the cold.
