    excellent post m3ntor,

even though the Li boom may have more in it yet, there will come a day in the not too distant future when those companies on the Li bandwagon will be soughted by their real strengths: those that can meet the essential battery/tech requirements for quality, as well as be able to deliver what other essentials the market demands.

There is a quite a lot of research going into batteries now, and yes, manganese rates highly in one hybrid. There are others too. So much research in fact with different minerals, that I wouldn't be surprised if we all wake one day to learn that lithium is being superseded....... Probably not just now, but the exponential rate of of research and necessity can never be underestimated. In the meantime, I'll trade the trade and will be moving ZNC a few places up my watch list.

Here is a very visual link to manganese use: http://www.visualcapitalist.com/manganese-powering-the-next-generation-of-lithium-ion-batteries/

And Asian Scientist Magazine has numerous articles on battery development: http://www.asianscientist.com/2015/06/in-the-lab/changing-elements-boosts-battery-storage-capacity/
