China’s grip of Congo cobalt was further cemented this June, when the 35-member Union of Mining Companies with Chinese Capital (USMCC) association was founded under the initiative of China’s embassy in Congo, according to Bloomberg. Included in the association are Huayou Cobalt and state-run China Nonferrous Metal Mining Group.
China is going to secure all Li in the Congo and place a squeeze on the rest of the world.
