Lithium mines that have closed or about to close

Stephen Wood puts forward the interesting theory that what happened to iron ore post GFC is likely to happen to lithium
ie there were a whole lot of miners around, there was a dramatic drop in the price of the commodity and then only a few survived

so for example .. you have say LRS, PMT, LTR, AVZ, MIN, IGO, PLS, LTM, LLL, the price suddenly drops due to oversupply of lithium and then only a few low cost producer survive so maybe you have three left standing eg PLS, IGO and MIN

to get some idea you need to look at the marginal cost of production and whether or not a company is likely to be able to raise capital
