"The critical issue in the lithium word for the remainder of this year will boil down to two simple issues: off take agreements and continued US Dollar strength.

If the plans for the various lithium ion battery factories are realistic (I think they are), battery manufacturers are going to have to start making announcements on the sourcing of raw materials later this year to have the supply chains in place over the next three to five years. My sense is that the immediate winners will be the majors already in production, but I anticipate the advanced juniors (Western Lithium (WLC:TSX, WLCDF:OTCBB) Nemaska Lithium (NMX:TSXV, NMKEF:OTCBB), Lithium Americas (LAC:TSX, LHMAF:OTCBB), Critical Elements (CRE:TSXV, CRECF:OTCBB) will see a short term boost until the dust settles. The size and structure of any off take will no doubt need to be scrutinized carefully as much of the really important information like pricing, will be kept confidential."
