I did some research on the "expert" comments made by Robert Bayliss of Roskill , here is what i found out
on Bloomberg on the 19th August 2016.......it is most unprofessional and slack of both the AFR and FT.com, not to delve deeper into more acclaimed industry pro's like Joe Lowry to get the facts
Joe Lowry's industry wide experience in the lithium industry ......26 years
Robert Bayliss experience in the Lithium industry ....O ....experience in lithium research ...7 years...
That says it !!!!
Mr Bayliss’ (Bloomberg Aug 2016) forecast lithium carbonate prices would peak “ pretty soon” “in the 2nd quarter 2017 “ re-iterated by Macquarie and Deutsche Bank quoting prices at between US$7,000 and US$8,000 .
And here is the actual price being paid throughout 2017....
Lithium carbonate prices in China in January 2017 reached US$16,000 and accelerated to US$23,000 by October 2017. ( Nikkei Asian Review.)
