It’s a long story! I had been almost wiped out in 2008 as a result of the Opes Prime fiasco, so when I was up 100 times I took a lot off the table, paid the tax and invested in other stocks and assets- diversification! It was a very productive time.
Bear in mind, PLS went to 14c in 2020, so I don’t regret having sold prior to that. Everything is easy in hindsight and when Covid hit, it felt like financial Armageddon to me. I don’t know about others, but I have found the past two years very hard going. I know some have enjoyed great success- not me!
I certainly do regret many of the investments I put our post-tax winnings into from say 2017- however, mistakes are impossible to avoid! I hope I am learning as I go! And I hope I get a few more 100 baggers! You never know. In reality, 100 baggers are extremely rare. So, perhaps 10 baggers are more realistic targets and as we get older and more conservative, perhaps even three baggers over a reasonable timeframe. I actually think EVN is a great, relatively low-risk three to five bagger over the next three to five years. Just my view from the research I have done.
In the meantime, I think we are on a winner here. This season of exploration and progress should surely see some excitement!
