In part, I think this is looking more likely and now with the UAW strikes in the USA, targeting Ford/GM and Stellantis, the legacy car manufactures are royally screwed. The UAW union workers are essentially asking to sign their death, it is just that they don’t see it yet. It is more than just about wages, throw in work roles/pensions and you have one massive hole that will make it impossible to compete in an EV centric market.
VW cannot make a compelling ev product - their software is horrible. They have raised the white flag in China, partnering with xpeng.
Who remains - Tesla, China and a couple of ev only companies Ie Rivian.
