Nickel, Copper, Cobalt and Aluminum prices have come down over the last year. My hope is that lower prices for these important EV metals will help to bring EV prices down and therefore increase demand for EVs and therefore lithium. Also Tesla has drastically reduced price for EVs in China. I read that the Model 3 now starts at 33,430 USD there. The competition will result in lower prices for everyone.Of course it also has to do with the seasonality effect, where December is the best month and January the worst month, but I think compeition and the increased proudction capacity at Tesla Shanghai is also playing a role.It is basically a mix of Seasonality, Competition, Production capacity and more moderate raw material costs.
