As I thought, the spot market participants are being manipulated, into not buying material, by futures traders manipulating the futures prices curve (paper trading without any intention for physical settlement of these contracts). Then investment banks (Goldman Sachs and UBS) came out with ridiculous price forecasts that most likely do not represent sustainable prices for high cost lithium producers to operate profitabilly in the long term.
