China is desperately searching for lots of minerals because they want everything to themselves and they know that everyone else is waking up to what a dis-honourable mob they really are.
They are trying to tie up rare earths, and not let anyone else have access to them so they hold all the cards in those minerals, but that will only encourage other countries to build the plants to process them also.

China is not the only country with a need for lithium and Australia is the worlds largest producer now.
Do you really think that the free world would rather deal with a corrupt China rather than Australia. You seem to believe that China is the only customer for our lithium.

The report talks about Bolivia:
"The world’s largest reserves of lithium can be found in countries including Bolivia, whose Uyani salt flats have at least 21 million tons of lithium."

Again the Western World would be crazy to deal with Bolivia which is basically socialist and has the South American disease so common on that continent. The salt flats are dependent on certain annual rains and the supply can be unreliable at best. Also impurities are a problem with Bolivian supply. Whoever penned that report has relied upon research from ten years ago and it is now out of date. Even Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid could not make a go of it in Bolivia. Tesla said that he will only deal with North America for supplies but I am sure that if supplies become desperate then he would deal with Oz also.

The demand for lithium is huge and getting bigger and bigger all the time. If you believe in Global Warming, and I think it is 90% a con job, then you should believe that we are only just at the beginning of the electric revolution. Because I do not think that it a great threat, warming that is, does not mean that I am unwilling to make money from those who do believe in fairy tales.

If we find a decent supply we will have no difficulty in selling it to the world.

Stop worrying about missing the boat - the boat is only just firing up it's boilers.
