You are correct in that "Ora Banda is free carried from any discovery to the completion of a Definitive Feasibility Study," but you are missing the point.
This if not about gold, but OBM's interest in nongold minerals.
Currently OBM has a 35% interest in nongold mineral rights, but DEPL has the ability to sole fund (i.e. free carry) $15M of exploration over three years to increase its stake in the JV to 80%.
That means although OBM does not have to pay for the exploration it still has an interest in the nongold assets, which can effect its share price.
I suggest you contact Luke Creagh for clarification and a better understanding of the company.
