I also think the last SC5.5 auction was because PLS cannot produce SC6 and that is all they have to sell. They are spending millions to try and improve that and it is not hard to understand why. Nevertheless the 5.5 still attracted great prices from, guess who? yes the Chinese. No doubt because they are making so many cars. Even though Greenbushes and Mt Marion produce SC6 it is all contracted I assume, so they have none for the spot market. So yes, I do believe LTR (and anyone else) will be able to charge a premium for SC6 on the spot market.
