I think Elon can accelerate the refining but I think he is still underestimating material supply constraints. Seems he's still relying on unproven sources (geothermal, clay etc) adding to supply.

Even conventional sources of lithium are being challenged atm. Chile about to vote this weekend on changes to their constitution which, if passed, would expand environmental protections, including redefining water as a natural common good that cannot be appropriated, likely resulting in some changes in the concession system for mining permits. Some are worried the draft would make Chile’s lucrative copper and lithium industries nearly unviable by placing them under state control.

Maybe Elon thinks at night not only about Mars but the jungle too?
