There's no way they're getting rid of the CGT discount, it's literally an incentive to hold long (thereby discouraging volatility)
Even if they did though, the changes only ever apply after the date they're implemented meaning that if you were holding prior to the changes the original rules would still apply for you (if you're old enough, you'd remember that when CGT was introduced only those who purchased after legislation was passed were impacted, those who purchased before still had no CGT)
