IMO, if LTR lithium production becomes unprofitable there better be a massive and swift change in the major EV battery chemistry, and the capability to instigate it immediately.
Likelihood? …….extremely low to impossible.
Why?……because, even if some don’t like to admit it, we have passed the EV tipping point.
The ship has sailed, it won’t be turned around.
Improvements and modifications, yes, in time.
