SMM analysis: It is expected that the domestic lithium carbonate production in February will decrease by 23% to 32,000 tons. Attention needs to be paid to the potential game space of post-holiday spot premiums.

SMM, February 5th:
In January, the domestic lithium carbonate production was about 42,000 tons, a decrease of 5.6% compared to the previous month and an increase of 15.6% year-on-year. According to the situation of raw materials, some lithium salt companies using spodumene ores have reduced production due to the low market and low efficiency of mining and transportation in the winter, but the increase in processing orders and the production of new enterprises have offset the overall production reduction. However, small and medium-sized lithium salt companies that purchase lithium mica (lepidolite) externally continue to suffer losses and reduce overall production, while most lithium salt companies that recycle materials are also choosing to reduce production due to continuous losses.
