I'm not worried about alienating posters. Those who like my posts will appreciate them, and those who don't, won't. Fortunately, I have "issues" with socialization, and don't think much about that sort of consideration, at least until others point it out to me (truth be told, I still don't care, much, but at least it makes me wonder).

Not sure where you are getting your incorrect information from but rest assured shorting outside the ASX 200 is allowed and is commonplace.

Also - nothing to prevent hedge funds loading up on short positions before it drops out of ASX 100 and riding it down into 2025FY… If they wanted to do that of course.
