You do realise that both prices and supply/demand equilibrium fluctuate right? If that’s not something that suits, perhaps avoid a cyclical sector which goes in … wait for it … cycles! Now, if you accept that we are discussing a cyclical sector than wouldnt the ideal time to take a position be when both the prices have declined and the excess supply will lead to marginal producers dropping off - thereby leading to decrease of supply and in turn an increase in prices. Cycles not for you? Hop across to consumer staples or utilities thread.
