We will need something else , not just wind and solar , to run industry , at least in the short to medium term . Fact . The Greens and Labor , up until now have ridiculed the Liberal’s stating this . I think that they might be finding out the truth . There is no point ditching coal and especially gas , until we can provide base load power 24 hours 7 days a week . Fact . There is no point living in fantasy land , I am all for lowering pollution and providing green energy but the facts around reliable supply have to be catered for . You and I can go for a few hours without power in our homes . Cut the power to an Aluminium Smelter for 5 hours and it never starts again .
