Large Scale Storage is an excellent dampener, however, if thats your point of reliance re Base Load one is dumber than Bowen & Albanese.
Theres a reason why high Wind and Solar states pull Energy from fossil fuel source's via cable when under duress.
Theres also a reason why to even maybe( not possible)have a true 100% Wind & Solar grid you have to build out x 7 etc.....the overload is to just break even under duress when base load is most required. Utter Insanity.
Wind and Solar have a place, as it does now
....but its a support Energy Source....in that guise its a great performer, but 80-100% Wind and Solar is DUMB.
