Great news for lithium:
Battery storage skyrocketed 7X in 4 years in California, jumping from 1,474 MWs in 2020 to 10,383 MWs in 2024.
Typical battery was ~4 hours but is rising. “It’s definitely been a game changer in improving reliability,” said the CEO of CA grid.
