Good work WW, I do recall reading a similar article a while back that had looked deeply into the statistics. That research also found that the overwhelming fire risk was greater by far with petrol and diesel engines, which proved that the media is doing their usual ‘whatever sells a story’ play.

The media outlets were grabbing the stories about the intensity of lithium fires and somehow from that it turned into EV,s are dangerous and scary, which is just false. But you can’t let the truth get in the way of a good story. Especially if there is a subtle persuasion from ‘other’ interested parties to make it scary.
