Not everyone will be able to afford the high end stuff but the fact BMW, Porshe and even Ferrari are going electric adds heaps of prestige and attention to the whole story.
These things are gonna be beasts, quick as a super car and nearly free to charge. All the weight (battery) underneath so unbelievable handling and safety too apparently.
I saw somewhere that overall world wide new car sales are down seven percent this year so far. I reckon lots of people are doing like me and waiting for a couple of models to go past, tech to improve even more, prices to drop and then they are buying all electric.
Many people IMO are planning for their next car to be EV and never planning to buy another petrol or diesel car.
Like you said Mick the EV boom is here.
