I'm thinking that big oil will do just fine supplying all the commercial and military ships, all the commercial and military air planes and any other big ticket items that will not be swallowed up by the battery electric power tsunami. Some existing large power systems will take a bit longer to sort out and will require fossil fuel in the interim - unless they all go nuclear.
