Heedless - I think you’ll find any professional reporting agency IS already required by law to provide a disclaimer.
My own example was one where a Cannacord private wealth advisor was a non executive member of a BOD in a company where I was invested.
The Cannacord analysis was BUY and after the price crashed in a matter of days from 32c down to 12c (?) and most directors including ‘Mr Cannacord’ secretly sold out at 20c or 22c after close on a Friday I went back over the analyst report:
1) a different analyst authored the report
2) the ‘small print’ disclosed ‘what we recommend is not always what we do.’
Upshot DYOR and don’t take ANY advice blindly without having implicit trust in the provider of that advice.
