    Not a container ship. It's a car carrier. Multiple reports have claimed that smoke originated from the section holding EVs.
    But maybe LinkedIn guy knows best.
    So easily they have you apologising when there is no credible report that containers on a car transporter were the cause. Just some LinkedIn account.

    I think all Li investors are aware of thermal runaway. However most would also be aware that it is fast becoming a thing of the past. Not a problem for LFP EVs and reputable EV companies have vastly improved their cells. I suspect in the next few years we will see more of a split between LFP and solid state high end EVs. It is the liquid electrolytes that have been proving the most susceptible to thermal runaway.

    So I fully expect that we will see far fewer mentions of EV fires going forward. Perhaps it will be E-scooter and E-bikes from owners that don't read instructions taking up the news.

    What I'm trying to convey is yes, it happened, but intensive development is ongoing to make it even less likely to occur in the future. The industry would be better served if advocates didn't try to claim that car carrier was also a container ship.
