Camping overnight in my motorhome at Green Point (see X on map) the wind NEVER stopped and was ferocious. Couldn't keep the fridge pilot light lit. The wind turbines were visible across the bay from the campsite.
Don't know why they don't have them at Georgetown as the wind almost blew me off the road. Never experienced anything like it since as it was all I could do to keep the vehicle on the bitumen!
This is not my first rodeo. Been round Tassy and WA once. The rest of Oz twice. Even been to the tip via the old telegraph track and Victorian High country - both twice via off road 4WD.
