It's SK Innovation from Korea.

We might hear a lot about SKI in very near future.
Maybe as LTR's JV partner.

"VW board member Stefan Sommer told Reuters that the company would need 150 GWh of battery production in both Asia and Europe by 2025, and double that by 2030"

150GWh battery will need 150,000t of LCE (Lithium Carbonate Equivalent) in 2025.
And will double it in 2030, which means 300,000t of LCE.

Do you know what is the world production of LCE atm?
260,000t of LCE!

Only VW will need more than today's LCE production in 10 years time.
If we start making the list of vehicle manufacturers in all countries now we can't calculate the amount of lithium the world would need in 2030!

Who is going to produce it?
Or where are they going to find that much lithium?

Let's start to make the list of auto manufacturers now.

Start with Europe; VW, BMW, Daimler Benz, Renault, Peugeot/Citroen, Fiat, JLR (Jaguar/LandRover), etc.etc.

US: Tesla, GM, Chrysler, Ford

Japan; Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Subaru, etc. etc

I can't do the whole list. It's too long.

Someone should tell those battery manufacturers to slow down I guess.
They can't find that much lithium to supply those battery plants !
I feel the supply pain for them from today.

These battery guys have gone crazy.

Or, should I now start to think I hit the jackpot with LTR?
I don't know. Time will tell.
