Every DLE project is a bespoke process. Not one Lithium DLE project is operating at scale yet. Yes, they may eventually get a DLE project working at scale. IMO, that will be next decade.
It ain’t easy and it will be high on the cost curve. This will underpin the Lithium price at a much higher level than historical norms. Existing producers like PLS and soon to be producers like LTR will benefit from this as to meet demand, high cost producers will be required.
Many have tried in the past, and failed. If it was so good, it would have happened already.
