I hear what you’re saying . I’m yet to see how industry can survive on renewables . As I’ve said before , running an Aluminium smelter on renewables can’t work ! 12 percent of Victoria’s power , need power 24 hours a day , more than 5 hours without power , the whole plant is destroyed . It won’t work . The greenies say nuclear is expensive ( true ) but it is 100 power for 100 percent of the time . We will need something to cover the gaps in renewables and batteries won’t be big enough to support industry . If we start with facts , we have a chance . So now they want to build giant windtowers in the ocean ( also expensive ) maintenance nightmare , slow project . Could take 10 years and what happens when they pass their use by date !in that time you could have Nuclear up and running . If technology ever gets to a point where you can go 100 percent renewable , fantastic ! In the meantime Nuclear has to be better than coal or gas .
