    You need to dig deeper then that. That article was 2 years ago. It was posted and published to scare the global market.
    The facts are. BYD has not bought mines in Africa, for the simple reason that there are none to buy!!
    The Mali mine will come on line in 2025 owned by the Junta there and Ganfeng. But I doubt it will run well as the Chinese are not spod miners.

    The only mine is in Zimbabwe. And the problem with that supply is, that the country is in a mess, rated at number 174 out 184 worst economies, its land locked and port is in Mozambique. Same problems there, riddled with Junta and corruption. Stable supply for decades will never come from these locations.

    All these articles are there to scare you off. Granted there is much LIT in Africa, but corruption, infrastructure, technical expertise and land locked locations means nothing meaningful for the next decade and if it does, the West will not touch it IMO
