Don't disagree with your demand comment, but for context battery pack cost is not overly sensitive to lithium or other raw inputs. 100% increase in lithium hydroxide is estimated to contribute 5-6% increase in overall pack cost. This varies a bit depending on the particular chemistry from what I can gather.
Economies of scale and manufacturing process optimisations are greater opportunities for lowering cost than reducing the raw input prices from what I can gather. With the volume of battery 'megafactories' being planned the issue is likely to be supply of quality lithium chemicals. Benchmark Minerals track this too but I don't have a subscription.
