Science lesson. Water is burnt hydrogen (oxidised). It's energy is spent when it became oxidised. You can turn water back to hydrogen BUT it requires more electricity than the energy you get from burning the hydrogen (otherwise you'd break the laws of physics). So you can put a hydrolysis machine in a car and make hydrogen from water by expending electricity but it begs the question of why not just use the electricity itself? No, the only way a hydrogen car works is if you are using hydrogen gas to begin with. You either use renewable energy to separate the hydrogen and ship the hydrogen to gas stations (again you could/should just use the electricity in the car) or you use hydrogen gas directly from natural gas (Better than petrol but still environmentally Damaging). Both ways are flat out stupid. Only advanatge is it can be topped up on the go quickly. It's more costly, less green, more complicated and more dangerous.

As for our energy usage we need only invest in renewables as we have in oil
