    No, watch the video. His point is that lithium only represents 2% of the value of an EV. So the thesis is the car manufacturers will pay whatever they have to to get it. As such a small % of the total cost, it can increase dramatically without jeopardizing the tech.

    Personally I'm not convinced it will happen, and I wouldn't rely on it when doing valuations/making buying decisions. I won't complain if it does.

    Good idea regarding the thread @bugeye23. It's good to keep these discussions separate.
