Consolidation in isolation is meaningless. It takes what you have and shrinks it as with everyone else. The pie albeit is smaller but your portion is still the same. If capital raises follow then dilution occurs, that is when there is an issue, especially if shareholders have not seen any equity growth via share price increase.
