That's it, it's a long way off being an index of any real meaning or point, it's not corn.

This is why I said beware the illusion because it will mean very little in reality. The reality (transparency) will be in prices received by producers in the various chemicals they supply, and correct me if I'm wrong but prices received on average have been in a uptrend over time, yet it hasn't done anything to stop the misinformation/manipulation and I don't see too many people laughing.

Fortunately we're in a hot ticket market that is only going to get a lot hotter so if someone doesn't want to buy our corn, we'll go to someone who will. It's going to be a sellers market not a buyers and we sure as hell won't be held to the mercy of some Fantasyland pricing index.
The producers and their contract negotiations "are" the index.
