PepinNini to appoint lithium and
kaolin expert to board
PepinNini Minerals Limited (PepinNini, the Company) is pleased to
announce the proposed appointment of Mr David Turvey as a NonExecutive Director of the Company.
The proposed appointment is the result of a comprehensive search
by the Company for a candidate with strong skills and experience not
only as a director of ASX-listed exploration companies but also with
respect to PepinNini’s specialty mineral group interests, where
intimate knowledge is relatively difficult to come by.
A career geologist, David has more than 35 years’ experience in the
Australian and Asian mining industries in exploration, business
development and corporate M&A activities in industrial minerals,
precious-base-specialty metals and bulk commodities.
Over this period, he has led technical and value-in-use studies to
inform feasibility studies and business entry strategies in electronic
and specialty markets.
His career includes international roles for major corporations such as
Normandy Mining Limited, Chevron Corporation and CSR Limited,
and executive management positions in mid-small public and private
companies.
Until recently, David was Managing Director of the ASX listed Kogi
Iron Limited, leading a team in the exploration, evaluation and
development of a cast steel project in Nigeria. He previously had a
10-year stint as a Non-Executive Director of Southern Gold Limited,
an ASX listed company conducting gold exploration in both Australia
and South Korea.
David holds a Bachelor of Science (Geology) and Diplomas in
Gemmology and Marketing Management. He is a Member of the
Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and a Fellow of the
Society of Economic Geologists.
In addition, it is David’s experience in two specialty mineral group
interests significant to PepinNini – lithium (relevant to PepinNini’s
Salta Lithium Brine Project in Argentina) and kaolin (relevant to
PepinNini’s proposed Eyre Peninsula Kaolin Project in South
Australia) – that particularly set him apart from other candidates.
