In most takeovers of resource stocks you will here managment use this number as a key reason for the takeover. It does not mean PLS will get taken over just the valuation uplift Tianqi would obtain if they did.
This is how the Chinese Companies get funds from local instos to go after international assets. Regardless of PLS or another Australia lithium stock the sector has a massive re-rating (eg. Share price increase) coming.
