I’m struggling though, to understand the data by Adamas. 21.9kg LCE per EV.
I noted in another article, Adamas stated Tesla used 18.7kt of LCE for Tesla EV’s on the road in 2020.
2020 deliveries were approximately 500k. If you used 70kWh as the average Tesla battery pack and 63kg of LCE per pack (often quoted amount) it calculates to 31.5kt of LCE.
If their figure is used. it calculates an average Tesla would have a battery pack size of approximately 30kWh.
Something doesn’t equate.
Apologies if I’m missing something or LCE required per kWh isn’t correct.
