Toyota continues to make public announcements they are skeptical about EVs and are continuing with hydrogen fuel-cell cars but the evidence strongly suggests otherwise. Strange behaviour but possibly understandable in a Japanese cultural context. It's as if they can't confess they got the hydrogen fuel-cell call wrong and admit their mistakes while wasting billions running up dry gullies and are now years behind Tesla, BYD and others. Can they catch up? Possibly but I wouldn't buy their stock.
