Do the economics on this actually work out? I am rather dubious that they do. In principle I can see the case being made, some questions are raised:
If you had the cash to set up for solar power in the first instance would you be on the pension at all?
How much money can be saved on electricity over say 10 to 15 years? As a pensioner are you going to be looking at terms that long or longer? What would be the size of a pensioners electricity bill (and possibly add in the cost of fuel for the car into that cost.
I would like to see some actual numbers for a case study before I was convinced of this position.
