It is impossible to take it with you after retiring from retirement; both the cash and/or solar/battery setup.
Imo, solar + battery or just a battery will become the new norm. Properties without this asset will be viewed less favourably as buyers may well think: hmm, after buying we need to upgrade the energy setup.
