    Assuming 2kg LCE per 1kWh (which would make the Goldman-Sachs figure too higher), then supply outstrips EV demand by about 80,000 tons by 2020. Still, this is only for EV demand and nothing else. There would still be a shortage if the Gigafactory1 alone fulfilled its demand requirements, let alone the many other battery production projects expected to come online.
