I have just returned from 18 days holiday in China. What a place. I can thouroughly recommend it as a tourist destination. Being heavily invested in AJM I paid particular attention to the number of electric vehicles on the roads.
Most scooters and motorbikes are electric. The number of electric buses astounded me.
I must of walked 10 kms minimum every day, for 18 days. When bored I performed an audit and counted twenty vehicles that passed me, excluding commercial vehicles and taxi’s to determine how many were electric. In Shanghai particularly, ICE vehicles had a blue number plate and electric vehicles a green number plate. I performed this task too many times to count. The ratio of electric to ICE averaged out at 3 electric and 17 ICE to every 20 vehicles counted.
Of particular note I only saw one electric taxi and they have a sheet load over there. As they renew this fleet I hope they have forward planned. If anyone is thing of going over to China for a look, you should.
