IMO, second hand ICE vehicles will continue to sell past 2030..... yes, prices will be like going to the supermarket. The unfortunate, the collectors, the enthusiast, and even the speedway racers will continue using them for awhile.
IMO again, 2030 to 2040 will see the gradual reduction. Government will increase excise on fuel, increase registration charges and put a carbon type tax on the vehicles to grab the last dollar grab and force the death of the ICE.
The Australian people will look back at this point in history as the era the Australian Government missed the boat by ceasing vehicle manufacturing.
The use of Solar panels seem to be the only avenue the rest of the world will thank Australia for having the foresight to use to combat power prices the Governments failed to address.
Yes, its election time....... wait and see what the policy changes are in 12 months time.
